Who should attend?

The SMSTS course is a five-day program for site managers and aspiring managers in construction, covering essential health, safety, and environmental legislation. It emphasises risk assessment, control measures, and effective communication to promote a strong safety culture. SMSTS is the industry standard for construction managers. While there are no formal entry requirements, candidates should have or be preparing for a site management role. Previous health and safety knowledge is recommended, and those without experience may benefit from the SSSTS course first.

Certification

Delegates must attend all 5 days, in accordance with the SMSTS course programme, to achieve the necessary learning objectives and qualify for the SMSTS certificate.This certificate will expire after five years.
