SSSTS
Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme
This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities.
By the end of the course, you will understand how health and safety law applies to supervisors, your responsibilities for keeping a site safe, the role of risk assessments and method statements, how to deliver effective site inductions, toolbox talks and briefings, how to monitor site activities, and when to intervene to correct unsafe practices.
Certification is valid for five years, and you must complete a refresher before it expires or retake the full course.
SSSTS Refresher
Site Supervisor Safety Training Refresher
This one-day SSSTS Refresher course provides an updated overview of your responsibilities for maintaining safety, health, welfare and environmental standards on site. It is designed to refresh the key principles covered in the full SSSTS course and ensure supervisors remain confident and compliant in their role.
The training revisits essential topics including health, safety and welfare on construction sites, the structure of health and safety law, the roles and responsibilities of supervisors and managers, the importance of method statements, effective site communication, behavioural safety and occupational health.
Certification is valid for five years, and a refresher must be completed before expiry or the full course will need to be retaken.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme
The course covers all legislation relevant to safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries, emphasising the importance of workplace risk assessments, effective control measures and clear communication to maintain a strong health and safety culture.
By the end of the course, you will be able to apply health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation in your work, follow new guidance and industry best practice, and understand your responsibilities in these areas.
